Meet the Bryan Family

“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3

This was the verse highlighted in Blue and Heather’s wedding 12 years ago and continues to be the verse they strive to lead their family in reflecting. When the Lord made it abundantly clear that He wanted them to move to begin a new church in north Atlanta, GA, they chose to trust Him and hoped to honor and glorify Him with their fears. In September, 2017, they moved to south Hall County with their 3 precious daughters, Campbell (9), Piper (7), and Beckett (3), to start a new life and new ministry. Purpose Church will launch in September 2019 and the wait is filled with much to do in preparation. The Lord met their needs and blessed them with jobs to financially provide for their family, right now. Blue has a job selling medical equipment and Heather works as a real estate assistant with The Rains Team. Campbell and Piper have adjusted to their new school and are knocking 2nd and 4th grade out of the park, while Beckett is perfecting her social skills at a sweet daycare the entire family has fallen in love with. All of the changes and every life adjustment has had one incredible goal at the center of it…….Purpose Church. They are excited and humbled at the call the Lord placed in their lives to begin this new church and are so eager to get started. Their prayer is that this step of faith and utmost commitment to His direction in their lives will reflect their marital promise to “….magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Why does Flowery Branch/Braselton need a new church? Why are we starting a church here?

The area that is an intersection of Hall, Gwinnett, and Jackson counties is in close proximity to I-85 and I-985. Currently this area is home to approximately 105,000 people and by 2028 will be home to 140,000 people. This 14% expected growth rate is significant compared to national and state standards. The alarming trend is that in the same time period, churches that believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven have a projected growth rate of 2.3%. Therefore, the church will lose ground in this area and the need for new churches is obvious.

Tim Keller asserts, “The vigorous, continual planting of new congregations is the single most crucial strategy for: numerical growth of the Body of Christ in a city and the continual corporate renewal and revival of existing churches in a city.”

The Bryans have been called by God to start a church where people have the invitation and permission to live out their God-given purpose. Generally speaking, this area is covered with people who have sought and achieved the American dream. Many people have accomplished their personal life goals, but have missed out on God’s purpose for their lives. God’s call to start Purpose Church comes from the desire to see people serve God through their gifting so that the kingdom of God and the glory of God grows.

Thanks for your prayers, support, encouragement, and love. God is at work growing His church.
